Launched in Atlanta with 2 part-time staff in February of 2012, the organization has managed to help more than 200 students accumulate more than $22 Million in scholarships and subsidized funding for college. Students have attended Harvard, Stanford, Dartmouth, Georgia Tech, Emory, Syracuse and more. In 2016, the organization pivoted to focus primarily on Workforce Readiness for the Opportunity Youth sector i.e. 16 to 24 year olds who are out of work and/or out of school. Workforce partners include Chick-fil-A, Chick-fil-A Foundation, FedEx, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and many more. Gifted specializes in helping to close the employment gap for companies needing to hire a difficult to staff middle-skilled labor force.
