Restoring Justice exists to ensure that every accused poor person in America receives love, care, and their rightful representation. It provides client-centered legal representation and wrap-around social services to indigent people in Harris County. It leverages client-centered work to influence systemic change. It has represented over 100 clients, preventing an average of 4.3 years/person of unjust incarceration. One successful campaign is ending “overloaded court-appointed attorneys” county-wide, improving the quality of services for over 50,000 people per year. Its innovative client-centered model creates sustained change. Restoring Justice hopes to expand to other cities.
