James Nardella serves as Chief Program Officer for Last Mile Health, guiding programs that support 10,000 community health workers serving nearly 8 million people in Liberia, Malawi, Ethiopia, and Sierra Leone. He also oversees Last Mile Health’s advocacy to ensure governments, philanthropy, and Big Aid funders prioritize investments in community health. From 2015-2020, James led a team at the Skoll Foundation and managed a $40M grant portfolio, often representing the Foundation in collaborative grant making with Audacious, Co-Impact, and other donors. Prior to Skoll, James led Lwala, a Kenyan health and development organization. He holds a master's in internal education policy from Vanderbilt.
