Joanna Taft is a cultural entrepreneur and a leader in the field of creative placemaking. She founder of the Harrison Center for the Arts, Herron High School, and PreEnactment Theater. Her work has received the Governor's Arts Award, Hoosier Heritage Lifetime Achievement Award, the Indianapolis Business Journal Women of Influence Award, the Girls Inc. Touchstone Award, Arts Council of Indianapolis ARTI Award, Jefferson Award, Joyce Award, Queen of the Court, and two Cultural Vision awards. In Indianapolis philanthropy, she is President of the Katharine B. Sutphin Foundation and Treasurer of Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation.
